These terms are an agreement between you and Purpal.ai LLC (“purpal”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of purpal.ai and the purpal product (the “Service”). If you use the Service for a company, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
purpal helps product teams decide what to build. It ingests customer feedback and documents you upload or connect, groups feedback into themes, drafts specs and engineering tickets, answers questions about your data, sends a daily brief, and can push work to tools such as Linear or Jira. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- Workspace owners can invite teammates, remove them and reset the workspace. The owner is responsible for who has access.
- If you create access keys for AI tools or other software to read your workspace, you are responsible for keeping those keys safe and for what they are used for.
3. Your content
You own your content. Everything you upload, connect or create in purpal (“Customer Content”) remains yours, and so do the specs, tickets and other outputs the Service produces for you.
You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you, including sending it to the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use Customer Content to train AI models.
You confirm you have the rights and any consents needed to share Customer Content with us, including any personal information about your own customers that it contains, and that doing so does not break any law or agreement.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or upload content you have no right to share;
- upload malware, or try to probe, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service or another customer's data;
- overload the Service, get around usage limits, or scrape it by automated means other than the access we provide;
- use the Service to harass anyone, or to send spam;
- resell the Service, or copy it to build a competing product;
- upload special categories of sensitive data (such as health or payment card data) unless we have agreed to it in writing.
We may suspend access that puts the Service or other customers at risk.
5. AI output
purpal uses AI to analyse your content and draft its outputs. AI output can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, even when it cites sources. You are responsible for reviewing themes, specs, tickets, research and answers before you rely on them or act on them. purpal is designed to propose and let you decide: it does not ship, delete or contact anyone outside purpal without your approval.
6. Third-party tools
You can connect tools made by other companies, such as Intercom, Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, Linear and Jira. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. When you connect a tool, you authorise us to read from it, or to write to it when you ask (for example, pushing tickets), on your behalf. You can disconnect a tool at any time.
7. Credits and fees
Some features use credits, which reflect the cost of the AI processing they involve. We may provide free credits, and we will show you any price before you pay for anything. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. purpal is currently free to use. Before we introduce paid plans we will publish their prices, billing terms and refund policy, and we will not charge you without your agreement.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@purpal.ai. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if we stop offering the Service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice where we can so you can export your content. Sections 3, 5 and 9 to 12 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its output will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, purpal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify purpal against claims arising from your Customer Content or from your use of the Service in breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and if a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
